Firewood, is simply taken and dried in a kiln to speed up the traditional seasoning process from two years to two days. This reduces the moisture content from an average fresh felled moisture content of 35-65% down to below 20%. Kiln dried logs are more economical than traditional seasoned logs’ as you buy more wood and less water. These super dried logs in turn give more heat and are easier to light and handle. The kilns use waste biomass as a fuel keeping this process carbon neutral. Our firewood is all hardwood in mixed species of mainly Ash, Beech and Oak.
